Sono bastiti 25 minuti di gioco al ventenne Janik Sinner per mettere a tacere l'avversario Hubert Hurkacz battuto martedì (nel terzo giorno di Atp) col punteggio di 6-2 6-2 in un ora e 25 minuti di gioco. Una vittoria importante per l'Italia orfana di Matteo Berrettini che proprio in contemporanea al match annunciava il ritiro definitivo a causa di un infortunio e al quale il suo “sostituto” Sinner ha dedicato il suo trionfo. Il numero 11 al mondo è entrato in campo senza paura, nonostante l'elevata importanza del match, sferrando fin da subito i suoi colpi migliori. Intanto oggi si continuerà con Novak Djokovic, premiato come numero 1 di fine stagione a Torino,contro Andrey Rublev che potrebbe diventare il terzo russo a vincere le Nitto ATP Finals.
